Music. You'd Like It Dead.

Even though it is such a common topic, I choose to write about music. The industry has changed drastically. Good or bad? You decide. Sometimes, the new songs that are constantly played on the radio just get so very boring that you end up burning and yearning for the good old oldies. Oldies by legends like Elvis Presley, Tony Bennet, or even The Beatles and Cream. But sometimes, you have got to admit that some of the newer songs by artists like the popular Adele or Amy whinehouse really brings you back. I can see why some would think, "hey, how would you know if you havent even existed on this very planet for more than 15 years?", but I guess you can say that I am always surrounded by human "Oldies". The use of instruments along with the lyrics has a big part to do with this slight "change".Although we may miss these oldies, the "newies" really can be an open armed replacement.
Nowadays, kids tend to listen to music that relates to their culture as we mostly consist of the second generation trying to keep this cultural past. Even non cultural genres are so interesting that you just can't resist the temptation. Rock or screamo, popular genres have amazing instrumental periods that attract young minds most often. Although the lyrics are sometimes inaudible, if you look them up they usaully always relate to your everyday teen. It influences every aspect of who we are and who we want to be. Is it strange to ask whether we would die without our music? I guess we just need that "something" right now to help in any way with OUR LIVES. This comming FROM a current teenage MUSIC fanatic. Speak the music?
